The Lore

Wilhelmina graduated from Colorado Springs School of Massage in 2022.After working in various spas and resorts in Southern Colorado, I decided to open Ritualiste Bodywork in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I wanted to concentrate on addressing client needs while blending relaxation and therapeutic work, without the up-charges done in a spa.
Ritualiste Bodywork is an environment more true to myself and values as a licensed massage therapist. I only charge for time and consumables like CBD oils. Everything else is a free tool at my disposal to help you heal.

Studio Disclosures

Massage therapists that are members of Respect Massage hold themselves to the highest standards of an ethical, boundary-driven practice. Respect Massage members have a zero-tolerance policy for solicitations of any kind. Innuendo and inappropriate requests are taken seriously and will result in the swift termination of the session. When choosing a practice displaying the Respect Massage logo, you can have confidence in the safety and professionalism you will experience as a client.

Studio Location

Ritualiste Bodywork is located on the second floor of the old Second Midland School, constructed in 1902 (P.S. This building is part of the National Register of Historic Places!). There is a large amount of parking at the front of the building, and free street parking. There is a set of stairs to the second floor studio. If you are not able to use stairs, please reach out and we can work on a mobile session or I can recommend other local LMTs that have a ground level studio.

Tipping

Tipping is never expected at Ritualiste Bodywork. I am a sole practitioner able to set my own rates and not at the whim of a franchise spa.

Massage Therapy FAQs

How often should I get a massage?

While the most common booking pattern is every month, this is entirely up to you and your budget. For some with jobs that are very taxing on the body, or with stubborn injuries and chronic pain, every other week may be helpful for a time. But, if you find you only need a massage every other month, or once every three months, that's great too! You know your body better than anyone, so listen to it!

Should a massage be painful?

A massage should never be painful. However, sometimes a muscle being worked will feel tender or tense. When it comes to massage, this is not always black and white. Some people know they need to feel a little sore for their body to get the benefits of massage therapy. For others, it is just the opposite.
And if this is your first massage, we are not going to immediately crank the pressure to 11. We will start light to medium, and go from there depending on the feedback you and your body give.

What modality should I book?

This will be dependent on what you are looking for from a massage.
Are you looking to feel soothed and relaxed? Try hot stones!
Are you looking to release stubborn tension that can be painful at times? Try cupping!
Are you looking for deep pressure with the same soothing heat of hot stones? Try warm bamboo!
All of these add-ons are free at Ritualiste Bodywork.
And you can never go wrong with just a 'plain' massage session.

This is my first massage, what should I expect?

When you arrive (hopefully 5 minutes early!) we'll go over your intake, I'll double check where you want to concentrate and where you do not want me to work. I'll step out so you can undress to your comfort level, and get cozy on the table beneath the blanket and sheets. I'll knock before coming back in, and we will start your session. Whether you want a talkative session or quiet one is up to you, but I will at least check on pressure in the first 10 minutes of your session. At about halfway through the session, I will have you turn over and we will continue the session. I'll make sure we have hit the areas you want worked before ending the session. I will leave you some nice hot towels before stepping out to let you dress.
Before you leave, I'll go over what I found and recommend some at home self-care and stretches, or maybe I found your hip pain could be from high arches and recommend seeing a podiatrist for inserts. Then you'll have time to ask me any questions!
